A: The Table of Contents pane on the left of the screen gives you a quick "you are here" look at your location. To get a complete look at the Table of Contents, click the Table of Contents tab/link at the top. This will display the entire Table of Contents in expandable form. Click the + or - to expand or contract a section, respectively. Click the title to go to that page.
Q: How do I save a page so I can return to it later?
A: You can save a page using your browser's bookmarks/favorites feature. To bookmark a page using the Firefox browser: Go to Bookmarks > Bookmark This Page (Ctrl - D) -or- right-mouse click and select Bookmark This Page. To bookmark a page using the Internet Explorer browser: Go to Favorites > Add to Favorites -or- right-mouse click and select Add to Favorites.
Because of the design of MKSAP 15 Updates, you can select as many pages as you'd like to bookmark, and they will take you directly to that page when you select it later. Each bookmark will be named by the exact title of the page.
Q: Where can I find normal laboratory values?
A: At the top of every content page, there is a tab for the Normal Lab Values. When you click this tab, the Normal Lab Values (NLV) tool will drop down.
To find your desired test results, begin typing in the text box. As you type, the list will change to match your test. To narrow your search to a specific area (e.g. Hematology, Endocrine, Urine), select from the drop-down box.
When you find the test you desire, click it to display the normal lab values for that test.
To download and view the entire NLV sheet, click the Download Normal Lab Values link at the bottom of the NLV search area.
To hide the NLV tool after opening, click Close Normal Lab Values.
Q: How do I open tables and figures in a separate window?
A: Figure and table links are included throughout the text. If you click the link, a page will open containing the table or figure information. Click the icon (green arrow) next to the link to open the page in a new window.
Q: How do I magnify figure images?
A: Many images have the ability to zoom in on sections of the figure. A note will appear at the top of the figure if the zoom is available. Move your mouse over the figure to magnify the image.
Q: Where can I find more information related to a question?
A: Once you answer a question, a detailed critique will display under the answer. The critique contains information about each answer and the reason it is either correct or incorrect. There will also be Key Points to remember for the question, as well as references for supporting information.
Q: Is there a MKSAP 15 Updates iPhone app or mobile version?
This product is not currently formatted for use on a mobile device. You have the option of viewing the full site in your mobile web broswer, but it is not formatted for the small screen.
